Whizz-Kidz is a charity that is all about giving disabled children and young people the independence to enjoy an active childhood - at home, at school and at play.

By providing them with customised mobility equipment, training, advice and life skills, we actually give them something much more important; the independence to be themselves. We make an immediate and life changing difference to their lives and their families.

I grew up with a disability, I was involved in an RTA at 18months old, this left me paralysed from the waist down. Due to Pressure Sores I had both my legs and part of my pelvis removed. I have an ileal conduit, a curvature of the spine, AA Amyliodosis of the liver and spleen and a transplanted Kidney. So I have a good knowledge how cumbersome some of the equipment is that you receive from the NHS services, I also know how important it is as a child to be as independant as possible and so get a good healthy sense of self. If only Whizz Kidz was around when I was a child :0)
